What Can I do With a 6-20 All-Lines Adjuster License?

An individual licensed as a Florida 6-20 All-Lines Adjuster can be:
  • An Independent Adjuster, meaning a person who is licensed as an All-Lines Adjuster who is self-appointed or appointed and employed by an independent adjusting firm; or
  • A Company Employee Adjuster, meaning a person who is licensed as an All-Lines Adjuster who is employed and appointed on an insurance company's staff.
The All-Lines Adjuster will:
  • Determine the amount of a claim, loss, or damage payable under an insurance contract, or
  • Settle the claim, loss, or damage.

How do I get the 6-20 All-Lines Adjuster License?

Waive the State Exam!

Exemption from the State Examination:

You may waive the state exam by obtaining the Professional Claims Adjuster (PCA) designation from the Professional Career Institute.  Central Insurance School is the only authorized provider of the PCA designation program.  Click here for the current schedule for the PCA 4-Day Program.

Licensing Guidelines

  • Successfully complete the Professional Claims Adjuster (PCA) Program.
  • Complete an online application for License and submit appropriate fees. Apply for license
  • Be a natural person at least 18 years of age.
  • Be a resident of the state of Florida.
  • Be a United States citizen or legal alien who possesses a work authorization from the United States Immigration and Naturalization Services.
  • Be fingerprinted at one of the Department's fingerprint sites. Fingerprint locations and additional information.
  • If licensed in another state within one year, provide a Letter of Clearance.
  • If an individual holds a General Lines Agent License and wish to add or convert over to an adjuster, you must apply online and submit the fees of $55. (No examination is required)
