What Can I do With a 6-20 All-Lines Adjuster License?

An individual licensed as a Florida 6-20 All-Lines Adjuster can:

  • Determine the amount of a claim, loss, or damage payable under an insurance contract, or
  • Settle the claim, loss, or damage.

The All-Lines Adjuster will be:

  • An Independent Adjuster, meaning a person who is licensed as an All-Lines Adjuster who is self-appointed or appointed and employed by an independent adjusting firm; or
  • A Company Employee Adjuster, meaning a person who is licensed as an All-Lines Adjuster who is employed and appointed on an insurance company's staff.

How do I get the 6-20 All-Lines Adjuster License?

Exemption from the State Examination:

You may waive the state exam by obtaining the Professional Claims Adjuster (PCA) designation from the Professional Career Institute.  Central Insurance School is the only authorized provider of the PCA designation program.  Click here for the current schedule for the PCA 4-Day Program.


Licensing Guideline

  • Successfully complete the Professional Claims Adjuster (PCA) Program.
  • Complete an online application for License and submit the appropriate fees. Apply for license
  • Be a natural person at least 18 years of age
  • Be a resident of the state of Florida
  • Be a United States citizen or legal alien who possesses a work authorization from the United States Immigration and Naturalization Services
  • Be fingerprinted at one of the Department's fingerprint sites Fingerprint locations and additional information.
  • If you are currently licensed in another state and have been for at least one full year and you move to Florida. You must provide a Letter of Clearance from your previous home state as well as being fingerprinted and applying for your license, witnin 90 days of becoming a resident of Florida one year.
  • An individual who holds a General Lines Agent License and wishes to add a 6-20 All-Lines Adjuster license need only apply online for the license and submit the license fee of $55. (No State Examination is required) However to obtain the PCA Designation, you must complete the course.
