2. Assist the Broker with phone calls to agents to gather any information needed to effectively quote requested risks.

3. Maintains a working level knowledge of rules, rates, regulations and procedures of the National Flood Insurance Program and the company’s admitted surplus products.

4. Assist with applying of rules and rates to all situations involving new business, renewals, endorsements, and cancellations of admitted excess, admitted and surplus lines products to determine if a property qualifies.

5. Be able to explain the company’s admitted and surplus products, underwriting process, and/or procedures via internal and external communications including but not limited to phones, email and/or chat.

6. Adherence to all company partner underwriting guidelines and instructions both written and verbal.

7. Ability to utilize resources effectively to resolve internal and external customer concerns or policy inquires.

8. Ability to recommend process improvements or ideas that may better customer and/or business needs with an action plan to put into motion.

9. Process return premium checks for admitted and surplus private flood accounts.

10. Maintain or exceed company standards regarding production and quality.

REQUIREMENTS:

Must have a working knowledge of rules, regulations and procedures of the National Flood Insurance Program and the company’s Private Flood Products.

Must be able to obtain a 2-20 and 1-20 insurance license within 12 months of employment.

Must have at least 1-3 years of insurance experience working in the wholesale broker industry or 1-3 years as a retail agent experienced in utilizing a wholesale broker to place business.

Must have 1-3 years of property or flood insurance experience.

Must possess a working knowledge and/or the ability to research and determine the rules and regulations of each state’s surplus lines association.

The team member must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, initiative and ability to resolve difficult business or interpersonal issues when needed. Also, should have a strong ability to deal effectively with all levels of the organization. Demonstrate a comfort level in a fast paced environment with constantly changing priorities. Must have exceptional time management and organizational skills with emphasis on product and technical knowledge required. Outbound Customer Care Specialist – Claims Trainee Program for Adjusters: Provide technical support and telephonic customer service for the claim department. • Place follow up calls to insureds/claimants/agents to obtain missing information.

• Accurately complete coverage template based on line of business.
• Send for police/fire/hail/wind/lightening reports as needed.
• Answer phones, check voicemail and return all messages within 4 business hours.
• Identify and note files with identified subrogation potential.
• Respond to customer inquiries in a polite, timely and accurate manner.
• Make follow up phone calls to IA’s as needed for status of appraisal
• Contact insured/agent and provide status of claim after IA contact
• Enter and maintain required claim information into company claim system.
• Notify appropriate technical personnel regarding both new losses and technical inquiries on existing losses.
• Recognize any potentially fraudulent cases and refer to the appropriate SIU.

• Pass all internal and external audits, which may include those performed by clients, carriers and/or regulatory agencies.

Qualification Requirements:

OUTBOUND CUSTOMER CARE SPECIALIST (CLAIMS TRAINEE PROGRAM FOR ADJUSTERS)
This is an entry-level Claims Adjuster position where candidates will be trained while handling a caseload of approximately 100 pending claims with minimal complexity. Candidates will learn to establish facts of loss, review coverage analysis, investigation, liability, negligence determination, damage assessment, settlement negotiations, and identify potential fraud.

Requires High School Diploma or Equivalent (Higher Education is a Plus) AND a Current Florida Claims Adjuster License.

Work Schedule:
Monday-Friday: 11am-8pm
Saturday: 8am-5pm (1 or 2 Saturdays/Month)


Outbound Customer Care Specialist (Claims Trainee Program for Adjusters)
Provide technical support and telephonic customer service for the claim department. Knowledgeable in the requirements of clients assigned. This position requires maintaining data integrity, timely and accurate contacts, timely and appropriate initial follow-up when needed, determining and documenting the facts of loss through thorough contacts, obtain damage information and properly document the file, identification of potential fraud and appropriate use of authorized vendors. All claims must be handled within state statutory and regulatory guidelines, the Client Account Handling Instructions and NARS Best Practices. Other miscellaneous duties as assigned by management.

§ Place follow up calls to insureds/claimants/agents to obtain missing information.
§ Make initial contact with appropriate parties, obtain facts of the loss based on appropriate scripts and thoroughly document file notes to assist adjuster with investigation and the ability analyze liability, compensability and subrogation potential.
§ Accurately complete coverage template based on line of business.
§ Send for police/fire/hail/wind/lightening reports as needed.
§ Answer phones, check voicemail and return all messages within 4 business hours.
§ Identify and note files with identified subrogation potential.
§ Respond to customer inquiries in a polite, timely and accurate manner.
§ Make follow up phone calls to IA’s as needed for status of appraisal.
§ Contact insured/agent and provide status of claim after IA contact.
§ Enter and maintain required claim information into company claim system.
§ Notify appropriate technical personnel regarding both new losses and technical inquiries on existing losses.
§ Recognize any potentially fraudulent cases and refer to the appropriate SIU.
§ Maintain all diaries to regularly follow up with claims in a complete and timely manner.
§ Pass all internal and external audits, which may include those performed by clients, carriers and/or regulatory agencies.
§ Follow all reporting guidelines as outlined by NARS Best Practices and Client Account Handling Instructions.

Qualification Requirements:

Education / Licensing:
§ High School Diploma or Equivalent, higher education a plus.
§ Must be able to work staggered shifts.
§ Bi-lingual /preferred.
§ 2+ years of customer service experience preferred.
§ Must possess a current state of domicile adjusters license as well as other required jurisdictional licensing.

Technical Skills:
§ Must have a high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and information.
§ Must be able to work independently under moderate supervision.
§ Demonstrate excellent organization and time management skills.
§ Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.
§ Advanced knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database and presentation software. (Microsoft Office platform.)

Abilities:
§ Requires long periods of sitting.
§ Requires working indoors in environmentally controlled conditions.
§ Repeated use of keyboard, mouse and exposure to computer screen.
