Provide administrative support on other tasks, such as assigned special projects and development of new ideas/services, as requested.

Qualifications:

Associate's degree or equivalent education and related training, required.
2 years of Property and Casualty or equivalent experience, required.
State-issued license, required. (2-20 and 4-40)
Good written and verbal communication skills
Good problem-solving skills
Good organizational skills
Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products
Knowledge of Pure, Chubb, Vault and other HNW Insurance companies, preferred.
EZ Lynx Agency Management system experience, preferred.

Physical Demands

Job Summary
The Business Development Representative will support the Sales Team in establishing and maintaining contact between Orion180 Insurance and the independent agency force for their assigned territory. This role focuses on promoting the Orion180 products, assisting in the growth of agents contracted, and training agencies on products and services. The individual will be responsible for a high volume of independent agency prospecting, managing inbound agent inquiries and administering the sales system.

Role and Responsibilities

Support the Territory Managers in the daily administration and servicing of agency partners
Administer the entire agency on-boarding process ensuring maximum on-boarding effectiveness and compliance adherence
Prospect sales and marketing qualified leads to gauge compatibility with Orion180’s distribution strategy
Assist in special projects and initiatives in coordination with the sales team and other departments
Provide daily assistance to agents through customer service inquiries across e-mail, chat and the telephone
Maintain the agency administration and contract management within Orion180’s technology platform
Participate in planning and attending select events and conferences based on the needs of the department
Qualifications and Education Requirements
P&C or Mortgage Industry Sales or CSR Experience preferred but not required
High School diploma / GED or higher
Ability to obtain 440 or 220 P&C within 60 days

440, 2044 or 220 Property Casualty License or ability to obtain in 60 days

Physical Demands

While performing general office duties for this position, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand and/or walk around (including the use of stairs). Other demands include the ability to openly communicate with others by talking, listening, and reading, able to lift light objects (<25lbs), and use standard office equipment such as computer, printer, and phone. In addition, there is an occasional need to bend, twist or stoop to open/close cabinets, reach for files or other standard office type objects.

Work Environment

The office environment is generally quiet and, in a temperature, controlled setting with random adjustments in noise or temperature due conversations, unscheduled maintenance repairs to the building or its interior offices or unpredictable situations due to weather or other acts beyond company control. An employee must be willing to work their regularly assigned work schedule for their duties and/or job responsibilities and in times of need, be able to work an extended schedule depending on company/department needs, project requirements or customer demands.
