What Can I Do With a 20-44 Property & Casualty Personal Lines Agent License?
The Florida 20-44 Property and Casualty Personal Lines Agent License allows an individual to transact property and casualty insurance sold to individuals and families for non-commercial purposes.
The Florida 20-44 Property and Casualty Personal Lines Agent License allows an individual to open their own independent personal lines-only insurance agency.
How Do I Get the 20-44 Florida Property Casualty Agent License?

No Insurance Experience:
A 60-Hour Qualification Course must be completed before an individual can apply
to take the state exam. Our 60 Hour Qualification Course
is offered many different ways.
The course exam must be completed with a score of 70% or higher to be eligible to take obtain the license. A State Exam, in addition to the course exam, is also required.
We also offer a 2 1/2 Day Personal Lines Exam Preparation Program and hundreds of sample exam questions to help you pass the state insurance exam. 90-day access to this Personal Lines Review (online flashcards) is included with the purchase of the 60-Hour Qualification program and also with access to the 2 1/2 day Exam Prep program. You may take the Exam Prep Program as many times as you would like, up to 1 one year after the purchase date.
Qualify By Experience:
If you currently hold a 4-40 Customer Representative license and completed at least six months within the last four (4) years
of responsible insurance duties as a licensed and appointed Customer Service Representative (4-40) and you have passed the state exam,
you may obtain the 20-44 Property and Casualty Personal Lines Agent License.

the state exam.

Licensing Guideline
- Successfully complete the Personal Lines Pre-Qualification (20-44) Program.
- Complete an online application for License and submit appropriate fees.
Apply for license
- Be a natural person at least 18 years of age
- Be a resident of the state of Florida
- Be a United States citizen or legal alien who possesses a work
authorization from the United States Immigration and Naturalization
Services
- Be fingerprinted at one of the Department's fingerprint sites
Fingerprint locations and additional information.
- If licensed in another state within three years, provide a Letter
of Clearance.
- There are special requirements that apply to applicants with a prior criminal history.
