This entry-level Claims Adjuster Trainee position might be right for you if you enjoy working with customers, are comfortable working in a changing, fast-paced environment, and thrive on identifying improvements (for yourself and the company). With demonstrated success in this role, you will have the opportunity to advance from the Claims Adjuster Trainee role to the Claims Adjuster role.
The successful candidate will work from home temporarily due to Covid-19 (or onsite in Plantation, FL if preferred) and is expected to work in our Plantation, FL, office starting in spring 2021. Some relocation assistance is potentially available.
What We Are Looking for -Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred (any field); applicants with degrees in areas such as Criminal Justice, Psychology, Risk Management, or related areas are especially encouraged to apply. -Bilingual in English/Spanish (English/Spanish fluency is required and will be assessed in the interview process). -Experience in at least one of the following: At least one year of experience in a high-volume or high-demand customer service role (e.g., call center, food service, or similar) or, At least one year of experience taking recorded statements (e.g., in investigative or law enforcement settings, insurance settings, social work settings such as child/adult protection, or similar) or, At least one year of experience in an industry involving automobiles or automobile knowledge (e.g., repair, service writers, rental, sales, or similar) -Willingness to work in a fast paced, phone-heavy environment that requires significant multi-tasking and attention to detail. -Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Spanish. -Ability to manage difficult conversations with skill and compassion. -Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. -Curiosity (e.g., identifying oddities and asking follow-up questions to explore them). -Commitment to learning (e.g., listening to and acting on feedback). -Ability to work independently with limited supervision. -Proficiency with software programs such as Word and Excel.

What You Will Do You’ll work closely with customers, attorneys, medical providers, other insurance carriers and vendors in resolving coverage, liability, and damages from start to finish. You’ll maintain strong relationships with customers while resolving auto claims efficiently. We will teach you to perform the duties below, along with other work as assigned. -Investigate, evaluate, and settle insurance claims. -Display courtesy, accuracy and uniformity when interacting with customers on the phone. -Carefully review policy to verify coverage and identify any coverage issues. -Properly file and answer arbitrations. -Write clear and accurate responses in response to demands, requests, or questions. -Make informed recommendations when finalizing liability. -Maintain detailed, accurate and timely records. -Be familiar with tools such as ISO, TLO, Arbitration Forum & other public cites such as buycrash.com, MDCC, BCC, FDHSMV, and Google Maps. -Continuously develop knowledge and expertise (e.g., keep current on job-relevant law, regulations, trends, and emerging issues). -Conduct activities in compliance with applicable Federal & State laws, and company regulations and guidelines.
